For my school assignment, I created a 'net' showing what the ideal energy system would be like.
All of these processes produce hydrogen  fuel in domestic and clean ways.

Steam Reforming- High temperature steam separates hydrogen atoms from carbon atoms in methane. 

Electrolysis- High energy currents pass through water to separate oxygen atoms and hydrogen atoms.

PhotoChem. Production- Sunlight is used to separate water in to hydrogen atoms and water atoms.
The productions cause a fuel to be made: hydrogen fuel. Hydrogen is a clean and accessible fuel. Although it takes up a big amount of space for a small amount of energy, it comes from domestic sources that don't release greenhouse gases.
Hydrogen fuel creates a clean accessible energy that anyone can use, and that flows easily and fast through pressured pipes to get to places. A danger about hydrogen is that it is reactive and flammable, but unless a leakage happens then that wouldn't happen.
Flexible and fast hydrogen fuel flowing from pipe to pipe allows cities to have easily accessible energy at the flick of a switch.
The power that the city receives lets the scientists and producers in the city produce more hydrogen from steam reforming, electrolysis, and photochem. production. That hydrogen then gives them even more power to create even more hydrogen. This would be an endless loop going on an on.
