Okeechobee Group Simulation

Austin LaBelle
This model shows inflows and outflows of Lake O. Model represents volume of Lake O over time, with assumption that Lake O has stable elevation over time.

If using the October 2020 water level of 16.2 ft, then it would take approximately 1.5 months of outflow at the current rate to return to the October 2018 level. This seems like a much higher amount of needed outflow than is presented in the news article. They say it only needs to happen for three to four weeks, our data shows closer to six.
