This Model shows the population of the City of Toronto 100 years into the future. The population changes each year and there are 3 processes which are births, deaths, and net migration. Births and deaths occur at constant per-person rates and it is based on Ontario's vital statistics. Migration is the main cause of Toronto's world growth. It is modelled separately compared to natural increase. Immigration flows the fastest when the carrying capacity (K) slows as the population comes to K, this is realistic and it is a stready growth. Overall the population grows quickly at first but overtime it slows down as it gets closer to the carrying capacity (K).
