Modeling Conway's Game of Life (and all its variant rulesets) from scratch. I did this all on my own. The only references I used were to figure out the rulesets, their names, and the terminology.
There is a description of Conway's Game of Life included in the diagram. Refer to that to learn what it is. Some presets are defined for variant rulesets. When possible, I tried to put the people who discovered each variant in the preset along with other information I found interesting (and fit in the box)
